Make the most of San Pedro
without planning from
scattered advice.
Skip the blogs, videos, old posts, and tour pages.
ALTIVA brings together the context that actually shapes your experience :
Not more travel content. A clearer way to understand San Pedro, before you book, organize your days, and choose what is actually worth it for your trip.
Most trips don't feel off because people didn't research enough
They feel off because the information is scattered, biased, outdated, or not organized around how the destination actually works.
Scattered Information
Blogs, videos, reviews, and posts can tell you what to do, but rarely how everything connects.
No Planning Logic
Travelers often choose places by popularity, without knowing what should come first, what needs more energy, or what not to combine.
Tour-First Advice
Many itineraries are built around what is easy to sell, not necessarily what makes sense for your energy, timing, or travel style.
Ignored Variables
Altitude, distances, early mornings, sun exposure, dry climate, and tour intensity can completely change how your trip feels.
THE RESULT
You can book the highlights and
still miss the best version of San Pedro.
Bad timing, altitude mistakes, and scattered planning can cost you energy, enjoyment, and once-in-a-lifetime days.
The ALTIVA Method
From “what should I visit?” to “how do I experience the San Pedro at its best?”
Understand
See the altitude, distance, timing, exposure, and logistics behind each experience.
Sequence
Know what should come first, what needs more energy, and what not to combine.
Build
Create a smarter itinerary using intensity levels, experience ranking, and day-by-day logic.
Adapt
Use altitude and energy checks to adjust your trip without losing the experience.
A Smarter Way to Order Your Days
San Pedro is not just about what you book.
It’s about when each experience belongs.
This example shows how ALTIVA helps you move from arrival and adaptation, to higher-demand landscapes, to recover. So your trip works better in real life, not just on paper.

"Complex trips aren't optimized by quantity of places, but by sequence."
A Note From Daniela
I’m Daniela Gonzalez, the person behind ALTIVA.
I created ALTIVA because planning a trip can feel harder than it should - especially when the information available is scattered, outdated, too personal, or influenced by sponsored recommendations.
Why ALTIVA exists
Many travel resources tell you what someone did on their own trip.
Very few help you understand what actually makes sense for yours, and how the destination actually works once you arrive.
Why I began with San Pedro de Atacama
San Pedro de Atacama is a place I love deeply.
It is only a couple of hours from my hometown in northern Chile, so I have visited it many times - not as a one-time traveler, but as someone who has seen how different the desert feels depending on how you approach it. And that is exactly why I chose to begin here.
Altitude, distance, early mornings, weather, transport, and energy all shape the experience more than many travelers expect.
What I wanted to create
I wanted to build the kind of guide I would give to a friend visiting Chile for the first time: honest, practical, beautifully organized, and focused on helping you understand the place before you arrive.
The same destination can feel completely different when you understand how to move through it.
San Pedro is only the beginning.
My hope is to keep creating thoughtful guides for Chile’s most beautiful and complex destinations, so travelers can experience them with more clarity, confidence, and respect.
